Everything You Need to Know About Booking DJ K. Wah!
Planning an event comes with plenty of questions! Here are answers to some of the most common questions about DJ K. Wah! Entertainment, our services, and what to expect when booking your event.
Is DJ K. Wah! Entertainment insured?
Yes! DJ K. Wah! Entertainment is fully insured, and a Certificate of Insurance (COI) can be provided upon request.
How much does it cost to book DJ K. Wah!?
Pricing depends on the type of event, duration, and services requested.
We offer packages for private parties, corporate events, weddings, and other special occasions. Additional hours, dance floor lighting, and specialized services may affect the final price.

Is a deposit required to book an event?
For most bookings, a 25% deposit of the total agreed-upon price is required to secure your event date. The remaining balance is due on the date of the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Alternative payment arrangements, including bookings without deposits, may be available for established clients, nonprofit organizations, and institutional bookings.
Your event date is officially reserved once the required deposit has been received or an alternative booking arrangement has been confirmed in writing.
Cancellation Policy:
Client Cancellation: Deposits are generally non-refundable. For outdoor events canceled due to unsafe weather conditions, deposits may be applied toward one rescheduled date, subject to availability and our outdoor event weather policy.
DJ Cancellation: If DJ K. Wah! Entertainment cancels a booking for reasons unrelated to unsafe outdoor weather conditions, any deposit received will be refunded in full.
Bookings Without Deposits: Cancellation and rescheduling arrangements will follow the terms agreed upon when the booking is confirmed.
Cancellation and payment terms for bookings with alternative arrangements will be specified in the written agreement.
What happens if bad weather affects an outdoor event?
Outdoor events require a safe performance area, appropriate weather protection for DJ equipment, and access to a safe electrical supply.
If weather conditions make it unsafe to perform, DJ K. Wah! Entertainment reserves the right to delay, suspend, or cancel DJ services.
If an outdoor event is canceled due to unsafe weather conditions, the client's deposit may be applied toward one rescheduled event date, subject to DJ availability and mutual agreement.
The rescheduled date must be confirmed in writing. If a mutually agreeable date cannot be arranged, the original deposit remains non-refundable.
The deposit may be transferred to a rescheduled date only once. Any changes to event duration, location, or services may require an updated quote.
What's included in your DJ services?
Our standard mobile DJ service includes professional DJ equipment, sound equipment appropriate for the event, music programming, and DJ performance.
Additional services, including dance floor lighting and expanded MC services, may be available depending on your selected package and event requirements.
Your quote will clearly outline the services included and the agreed-upon price.
Do you provide dance floor lighting?
Absolutely! Dance floor lighting is available as part of our DJ and lighting package or through a customized quote.

Yes! DJ K. Wah! can provide microphone announcements and MC services to help keep your event organized and engaging.

What types of events do you DJ?
DJ K. Wah! Entertainment provides music for a wide variety of occasions, including birthdays, weddings, corporate functions, anniversaries, graduations, Sweet 16 celebrations, school events, community gatherings, senior center celebrations, galas, fundraisers, and holiday parties.
We've also provided entertainment for museums, art events, street fairs, nonprofit organizations, and other special occasions.
Can I request specific songs or music genres?
Of course! Your musical preferences are an important part of planning your event.
We welcome requests for favorite songs, artists, genres, and special selections. We can also discuss songs or styles you'd prefer not to hear.
Our goal is to create a musical experience that reflects your celebration while keeping your guests engaged.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend reaching out as soon as your event date is confirmed, especially for weekends, holidays, and popular event dates.
Availability varies, so it's always worth checking, even for an event that's approaching quickly.
What is your process for working with new clients?
We begin by discussing your event, including the date, location, schedule, guest count, musical preferences, and entertainment needs.
Once we've reviewed the details, we'll provide a quote outlining the proposed services and pricing.
Before the event, we'll coordinate any necessary details to help everything run smoothly. On event day, we'll arrive with time to set up and prepare before your scheduled entertainment begins.
How early do you arrive to set up?
We typically plan to arrive at least one hour before the scheduled start of DJ services.
Larger events or more complex setups may require additional preparation time, which we'll coordinate in advance.
Do you provide your own sound equipment?
Yes! We use professional DJ and sound equipment, including Pioneer DJ controllers and QSC sound systems.
Equipment needs vary depending on the venue, guest count, and event requirements. We'll discuss the appropriate setup when preparing your quote.
What information should I have ready when requesting a quote?
It helps to have your event date, start and end times, venue location, estimated guest count, event type, and any special entertainment requests.
